On Thursday I was lucky enough to have attended a show featuring Albert Reyes. It was at the Pacific Design Center and titled Albert Reyes: Never Dies The Dream. I met Albert years ago through a mutual friend (isn't that how everyone in LA meets?) and have always been a fan. Besides being one of the kindest souls on earth (he doesn't care how cool or hip you are, he's for real, yo.) His illustrations are intense with a lovely dash of comedic relief...

While at the PDC, we were able to wander around and sneak in and out of galleries. I was surprised at how many large, beautiful, open spaces were not being utilized. Hello, economy?
